CHARLOTTE, N.C. (May 4, 2010) – Today marks the official launch of The B4 Agency, a motorsports-driven marketing organization created to serve the corporate and motorsports communities with impartial and insightful guidance and F1-level sales and marketing collateral. Created by motorsports marketing veterans Brian Barr and Brian Bonner, and John Bilecky, a longtime film and TV professional, The B4 Agency promises to fill an important role in the motorsports marketing field by combining traditional methods and cutting-edge technology, design and communication tools.
The team of Barr, Bonner and Bilecky joined forces in early 2009 while working for a US-based Formula One project, developing and honing their complementary business philosophies and skill sets. A highlight was Bilecky’s design aesthetic, which brought sales and marketing collateral to life in a new and profound way. When the F1 project wound down in March 2010, the three continued their relationship with B4, a platform in which the team can guide brand marketers interested in motorsports, as well as teams, drivers and promoters, to fully realize the sport’s marketing potential, as well as ensure that marketing dollars are wisely invested.
“To put it simply, we are like matchmakers for motorsports”, said Barr, B4’s Co-Director, a former NASCAR executive and AOL and Jim Beam agency executive. “We find the right form of motorsport for our corporate clients and then choose the right combination of assets and activation to connect with their target customer and help them reach their business objectives.”
“Up To Speed” is B4’s company tagline, capturing in three words how the company is immersed in the latest trends, techniques and best practices that are vital to making a motorsports marketing program deliver. “On a weekly basis you’ll find us at racetracks around the country, connecting with the key figures in all forms of racing and using our deep industry relationships to help our clients maximize the B2B and B2C return on their motorsports investment,” said Bonner, B4 Co-Director and 20-year motorsports marketing and racing veteran, including a career as a sports car, IndyCar and NASCAR driver.
B4 provides sales, marketing and creative services to teams, drivers, sanctioning bodies, series and events. A differentiator for the organization is Bilecky, an award-winning creative talent of photographer, film and television veteran. Using state-of-the-art 3D modeling, graphic arts, photography, and social media-biased video production techniques to create true “F1-level” branding, Bilecky creates marketing and presentation materials for B4 and its clients.
